Website Tips For Real Estate Agents

When you are a real estate agent looking for a website, the choices can seem never-ending. And while the majority of sites look great, 90% of them are not going to do what you need them to do.

When I first got into my own business I was overwhelmed with the decision to choose a website and started out making the wrong choice. Which is easy when the market is flooded with more and more websites each day that look great but aren’t adding to your bottom line.

The only purpose of a website is to bring your business and add to your bottom line. No matter how beautiful or well branded, or fully functional your website may be if it isn’t driving sales it isn’t doing its job.

Your website needs to be trackable

I talk a lot about trackability and reporting because it’s important. Your website should have the capability to tell you where your visitors came from, how long they stayed, what pages they visited, and how they contacted you.

Your website needs to have direct response capabilities

I know it sounds complicated, but this just means that your website needs to have calls to action that enable any visitor to contact you. If your visitors think your website looks great and love the content, but they aren’t ever asked to take action you’re missing a HUGE opportunity. They have already expressed interest by being on your page, you just need to fill in the blanks and give them the next steps.

Your website needs to drive leads

Just leads won’t get you to where you need to be to grow your business, but this is one of the most important parts. Having “high-quality” leads makes all of your other actions like your nurture and follow-up sequences all that more effective.
